A pocketdiaper has a pocket opening between the outer waterproof shell (or cover) and the inner layer that touches baby's skin. You can place the absorbent material (insert) inside this pocket opening. The pocket diapers (diaper + insert) need to be changed every 2-3 hours.
Three types of Inserts are:
Microfiber - White, towel like fabric. Quick to absorb. Should not be placed in direct contact with baby's skin. It lasts around 2-3 hours in a pocket diaper.
Charcoal Bamboo - Grey/ Block colored. Staydry fabric, can be used with covers also. Works for 3-4 hours. Can be used in pocket diapers or diaper covers.
Hemp - Off white/yellow colored fabric slightly rough to touch. Needs to be washed 5-6 times before first use. Works for 4 hours plus during the day.
